Allison and Kealii will always be two of my favorite people. Aly has a sweetness that you don’t find very often anymore and Kealii’s adoration for Aly is unmatched! When I met these two we talked about how fun it would be for them to own a big huge dog and how fun it would be for sweet little Aly to have to walk that dog. I was instantly smitten with these two and when they chose to hire me as their photographer I was so excited!
We arrived at Memory Grove Park despite the weather forecast. I told them I usually don’t change a date unless it is actually raining or bad weather about an hour before our shoot. Well everything looked good before the shoot but as soon as we showed up the clouds started rolling in. We got out of the car and decided to risk it. I set them up on these benches under some trees. Well as soon as I hit the first click on my camera the rain started pouring down. I hurried and gave them my umbrella thinking it wouldn’t last. How wrong I was. The rain just got heavier and heavier. As soon as I noticed Kealii’s back was soaked I said lets head back to the car. So we took a 20 minute break and chatted in the car. Learning about how these two fell in love and the future they were planning made the rest of their engagement shoot so much more personal. The clouds parted and the sun broke through and we had an amazing shoot. You can see how natural these two are together which made my job so easy!
