It was the happiest of days to be with Geena and Patrick on their wedding day! After shooting their engagement photos at Jensen Nature Pond and taking Geena’s bridals, I could not wait to see them finally become husband and wife!
Geena looked stunning with her sleeveless ball gown, elegant pearl jewelry, and pops of blue in her bouquet. Of course Patrick was equally handsome in his suit and snazzy shoes that all the groomsmen wore! However, I just knew that their Catholic ceremony was going to be the most special part of the day for them! This was the moment they finally made their promises and committed to one another. They were finally married!
As I watched them say their vows to one another, I couldn’t help but reflect on Patrick’s proposal to Geena. He had given her an old leather bound journal with cloth pages, and the book mark was a chain with an old key dangling at the end of it. Then he had a treasure chest that he had sanded down and stained. It had a heart shaped lock keeping it sealed with a P+G engraved on it. Geena had taken the key from the journal and unlocked the treasure chest to reveal her wedding ring! Then, of course, he got on his knees and proposed. This was months ago and now the day had finally arrived!
After their ceremony, we traveled to their reception at the Ogden Ampitheater. It was decorated so cute, but of course my favorite part was the taco truck!! I got to steal the bride and groom away for a few pictures of just the two of them both inside and outside. They were just esctatic and smitten with one another, as they should be!
Their reception was a blast! Great food, a fun crowd, and yummy treats. It’s always anyone’s guess if the bride and groom will be gentle with their cake-cutting and feeding, or if they will be playful. These two were ruthless in their cake-smearing! It was amazing! These two ended their day with a few more portraits together. And, in very Geena and Patrick fashion, a can of silly-string….you’ll just have to scroll to see!
