The Real UP House, Salt lake Temple, This Is The Place Park, Storm Mountain | First Look Bridals | Kaylee & Craig

When I met Kaylee and Craig at a bridal show in Sandy, I just knew I had to convince them to hire me as their wedding photographer! They were adorable, spunky and the kind of down to earth I can connect with.

When we discussed their bridals session Kaylee wanted a little bit of everything. Which I completely related to! She wanted the mountain look, the SLC temple and the county look as well! Then after chatting with them at our consult I found out that Kaylee & Craig have a special part of their story that includes a connection and love for the Disney movie UP.

On one of their first dates they decided to watch this movie together. Craig pointed out how similar the two of them were to the couple in the film. Kaylee was adventurous and enthusiastic and Craig was a ‘grumpy old man’. From then on it stuck. Kaylee made an adventure book of pictures from their dating story and Craig created an mini adventure book that held the ring he gave her on one knee the night he proposed.

SO naturally I couldn’t help but add ANOTHER location to the list. I just HAD to take them to The Real UP House in Utah. It was a surprise, though they totally guessed it, but they both had never been there before and were so happy with my little ‘gift’ to them.

Weather caused a major disappointment with our other locations so we actually ended up breaking our shoot into two different days! Which meant, Kaylee & Craig, got a TON of photos!

I love love LOVE Formal Bridal Sessions! It gives the couple a chance to really enjoy each other as Bride and Groom, not be rushed around and pulled and distracted like you are on your wedding day. These two really did enjoy each other and every second!

One of my favorite moments was when Kaylee asked me to capture a photo of her hair comb. It was her something borrowed if I remember right and has been worn by a number of brides in their family. It belonged to Kaylee’s younger sister who passed away when she was far too young in a car accident. It is their way of remembering her sister, and her sister being their with them on a day that is so much about family! Just can’t say enough about this amazing family, couple and Formal Bridals Shoot!
